2014 Convention Scholarship Speaker
 
At the time of the 2014 Biennial Convention and Centennial Celebration, Chante Chambers was the Vice President of Recruitment for Teach For America (TFA).  She was responsible for ensuring that TFA meets ambitious recruitment goals at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).  A 2005 Greater Philadelphia-Camden corps member, Chambers taught eighth grade in Camden, N.J.  Chambers first joined Teach For America’s national staff in 2007 as a corps member advisor at the Philadelphia summer training institute before transitioning into several roles including recruitment director and senior recruitment director.
 
Chambers earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College.  The video of her remarks is available here.
